The full color, printed, thick cardboard buildings in the newer operations boxes are excellent terrain and a very good starting point to be able to play games the way they should be.
It's actually one of the coolest things about the game and a reason its so tactically dense. Infinity is a game that needs a lot of good terrain to function. I started splitting Operation Kaldstrom with a friend and you can play all the missions in the booklet and have a bunch of fun. The operations boxes are generally considered really good value and a great starting place for new players. It includes the start 2 armies, terrain, markers and is really a complete starting place for 2 players. Operation Blackwind is a great starting point.
